Who we are?

Apollo is the UK’s largest privately-owned liquid adhesive, sealant, coating & primer manufacturer. We supply high-performance products worldwide to a range of industrial, construction and roofing businesses.

What is personal identity data?

‘Personal identity data’ refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Why do we collect personal identity data?

Personal identity data is collected and used by Apollo to process a request by you, to process a sale, or for the marketing of our products and services. We only share or disclose personal identity data with third parties to process an enquiry or request you have made, or when required to do so by law/regulation.

Personal identity data we may collect includes: name, company telephone number, company email address and company address. Other data we may collect includes company financial and transactional data.

General Enquiries/Commercial Activities

Personal identity data may be collected if you make an enquiry with Apollo, whether this is via conversation, telephone, website or email. We need to collect such data to process enquiries, samples and orders.

Website Registrations

Personal identity data is collected when you register to any of the Apollo websites. You do not have to share your personal identity data to view our website(s). However, to access our download section, we do ask you to register to our website(s) to ensure our website(s) is/are being used for the purpose intended.

Third Parties

An Apollo partner or distributor may also send us your details to process a request/enquiry.  

How is personal identity data used?

Personal identity data is used to process an enquiry or request you make, generate customer account forms and to store relevant data for transactional purposes.

We may also use your personal identity data (statistical/non-identifiable format) to administer our websites, analyse which products/sections of our websites are being reviewed and to offer you relevant content.   

It may also be necessary to share your personal identity data with our associated companies, partners or distributors to facilitate an enquiry or request you have made. We may also share your details to an Apollo distributor, if we refer your account.  It is also necessary for us to process credit checks on organisations.

Keeping your personal identity data?

Apollo takes reasonable precautions to keep all information obtained secure against unauthorised access and periodically reviews its security measures. 

Your personal identity data is stored securely on our company database, website database when you register with our website(s), as well as on our email or computer system to facilitate day -to-day and commercial activities.

These details are kept for as long as necessary, for example, whilst you are a customer and for a period of up to 7 years if you close your account, or for as long as you wish to be registered on our website. You can request to review any personal identity data we store about you and/or for your details to be deleted via emailing Apollo: marketing@apollo.co.uk

Personal identity data is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer required (as above) unless you ask us to store your details.

How we communicate with you

Other than communicating with you to process a request (via telephone, letter or email), we would like to use your details to occasionally send you information that we feel you may find useful. We will only send you this information if we feel it is relevant to your or if you tell us that you would like to receive it.

Changes to this policy

We recommend that you frequently review our privacy policy to keep up to date. However, we will communicate with you if we do change anything in our policy.
