Apollo is Committed to Following the Latest Government Guidance on Managing the Risk of Covid-19
Published: 22 May 2020
At Apollo, our main priority during this difficult time is to protect our employees and those who work with us.
A few weeks back, our Managing Director, Ian Cornelius, announced the measures we had put in place to protect our people, which allow us to safely support our customers’ demand, and to continue to do so as it increases. Details can be found here.
Apollo is committed to following all government guidance on managing the risk of Covid-19, as detailed in the ‘Working Safely during Covid-19 in Factories, Plants & Warehouses’ document. Steps detailed in the guide and which we have followed include:
- Carried out Covid-19 risk assessments and openly shared them with our people, including regular employee updates and signage.
- Implemented cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in-line with the latest guidance.
- Taken all reasonable steps to help people work from home.
- Taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace.
- Where maintaining a 2m distance is not possible, we have done everything possible to manage transmission risk.
We continue to track all government guidance and will update our policies and procedures as required.
We hope this answers any questions you may have, but please feel free to contact us if you require further information. Stay safe.
