Apollo Strengthens Team to Boost Production Efficiency
Published: 06 September 2019
Apollo has appointed a Production Planning Manager to further improve efficiency and maximise delivery outcomes for customers.
Mark Dennis has joined the Apollo team in this newly created role, bringing with him 23 years’ experience in batch management for other large-scale manufacturers in the in UK. Mark is now responsible for improving the production planning and distribution process at Apollo using his expertise in supply chain and distribution management.
Apollo Managing Director, Ian Cornelius, welcomes Mark to the team. Ian said: “As Apollo grows, Mark’s role is key in helping turn our five-year plan into reality and helping ensure the great service our customers have enjoyed will continue well into the future.
“Mark has already made inroads into new systems and procedures having reviewed our existing production strategies. We’re delighted to have Mark on board and confident that with his input we can continue to improve our customer experience.”
Having come from an agricultural, rather than chemical background, Mark admits that getting to grips with new products has been a challenge but as he explains, getting the product, whatever it is, to its destination requires a similar process.
Mark said: “Joining Apollo has given me a new challenge and I’m enjoying learning about a new sector. There are always improvements to be made in terms of production, it’s all about communication and having the right tools in place to ensure that potential operational delays are flagged up early so that schedules can be modified to avoid customer delays. I have the support of a great team and together we’ve already implemented news ways of working that have had a positive impact on production and deliveries.”
